At least this time I didn't have to go all the way to Halifax!
We'd left about 5:30pm even though it was only a 45 min drive and his flight wasn't coming in until 10:30pm (turned out to be 11 with a delay) because I don't like driving on the highway in the dark....

It had already been a long day for Christopher, as he was out most of it with his TA, so he was zonked before we even got out of town. ;-)
He did wake up later though - or, half woke up....

Long enough to eat junk. :-P (hey, it was a treat LOL - that McDonalds has a giant playground thing)
He was out again after, and slept all through shopping at Old Navy (Cindy had some money to spend and she loves that store - we don't have one in town) and roaming around Home Depot marveling at the size of it and pretending what we would buy if we were designing a house....
We still ended up with a loooong wait at the airport since most of the stores and malls closed at 9:00pm ......so we hung out in the waiting area for while....

Well, Cindy & I hung out...Christopher continued sleeping....
We were able to move down by the gate eventually, only to discover his flight was delayed... no seats down there, so we found a carpeted spot and....Christopher continued to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

This kid can sleep *anywhere*!
Closer to arrival time and Cindy was sooooo wound up LOL ...

She kept running back and forth to the doors by the gate, checking and checking to see if the plane was here yet.....
Finally......

She found him! :-)
Christopher did wake up, for a couple of minutes..long enough to say "Hi Daddy" and "Past bedtime" LOL .....it was nearly 1am when we got home. Zzzzzzzz.
He brought treats!

That's Christopher's plane - it's a "bump & go" thing, so it drives all over the floor and anytime it hits something, it turns and goes another way...he thinks it's pretty cool - and it's noisy all the time, so he can chase it down.

Here's Cindy's hamster - this thing is adorable...the hamster has batteries and it actually runs in the wheel! Too cute.

Mine! Mine mine mine. *grin* ...I own season 1 and I'd been looking everywhere here for season 2 but none of the stores had it in...Diane spotted it out west and Blair snagged it for me. Yay!
It's wonderful to have him home again, even if it's just for a bit....

Love the Sleepy Christopher theme, lol. Sounds like a wonderful homecoming. Such great glimpses in your pictures of the anticipation--and the exhaustion! :)
Bless you for asking about Kaira's tree! It doesn't look good at all. Poor thing--all the leaves are dry or limp and brown. It is possible that over the next few weeks new growth could start... we won't give up, she's still watering it and talking to it. (lol at the talking to it). But, I'm guessing we will be buying a new tree come spring. :( She's mostly resigned herself, but keeps praying her "Appley" will pull through somehow!
Thanks so much for askign.
How sweet! Glad "daddy" is back home!
I'm happy for you that he's back! Shannon comes home next Thursday for a couple of days (he's hopping a freight train - he's so proud he has a job that lets him do that. Very manly. :D).
Wow you can just see the kids excitment! Loved these pics and the glimpse into the life of the sleepy happy kids!
